Dumfries RSCDS holds the following regular classes:
Adults - Live music from George Meikle
Classes run from the beginning of September until the end of May (Mondays) and the end of June (Tuesdays).
Mondays 2pm - 4pm
Locharbriggs Community Centre, Auchencrieff Road, Locharbriggs, Dumfries DG1 1UZ
General Class - suitable for beginners, improvers and dancers with some experience.
The Monday classes have now finished and will restart on 1st September.
Tuesdays 7.30pm - 9.30pm

General class - suitable for beginners, improvers and dancers with some experience.
Monthly Sunday class - usually 1st Sunday in the month 2.30pm - 4.30pm
These classes have now finished for the current session.
Amisfield Village Hall DG1 3LN
This class is open to dancers who wish to be challenged a little and gives the opportunity to try out dances that may not be covered in the Monday or Tuesday classes.
This class is not suitable for beginners.

Costs
The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society Headquarters are in Edinburgh. HQ runs Summer and Winter Schools each year, produces Dance Books and CDs of music to go with them. It also sets the standards for dancing, sets proficiency tests and teaching exams for those who want to take them. Members also receive two magazines a year.
As a regular dancer at the Dumfries Branch classes we would like you to consider joining the RSCDS. As well as paying for your classes, for the 2024/25 dancing season this will cost, per year, Adult Single (age 25+) £29; 2 adults living at the same address, Adult Joint £47; Young Adult (age 18-24) £23 and Youth (age 12-17) £14. These figures include the Branch fee of £1.
Class charges - Dumfries Branch members, adults aged 25 and over, pay £4 per class or £116 if paying in advance (provides 1 class each week from September to the end of May). Young adults (18-24) pay £3 per class and Youths (12-17) £2 per class. Visitors who are RSCDS members pay £4 per class after their first free visit. Visitors who are non-RSCDS members pay £5 per class after their first free visit. It would be appreciated if correct amounts could be given when paying by cash.
